My manager is suddenly treating me differently

A change in behaviour can mean many things. The useful first move is to separate what changed from what you think it means.

Start with the change, not the motive

Write down the behaviour you can actually describe: fewer 1:1s, changed access, different feedback, new scrutiny, exclusion from meetings or a shift in responsibilities. Add dates and examples.

Compare before and after

A pattern is easier to assess when you can show the earlier baseline. What was normal before? What is different now? Which changes were explained?

Ask one clarifying question

Where possible, ask for the expectation, decision or concern to be made specific. A calm clarification can resolve ordinary ambiguity and creates a clearer record if it does not.

Watch for contradictions

If the explanation changes over time, keep both dated statements. A contradiction is not proof of motive, but it can be an important signal to clarify.

Do not diagnose the whole situation from one article.
